Stainless steel  straps used in many industries to bind items together or to affix loose items to more stable ones.

steel strap is applied manually with a tensioning tool and then fastened together by crimping a steel buckle around the bands ends. The excess steel strapping is then cut and disposed of.

stainless steel bands : 201, 304 and 316 stainless steel.

201 stainless steel which contains nickel and magnesium in addition to chromium

304 stainless steel which is not as strong as 201, but more corrosion resistant

316 stainless steel which is more resistant to hostile environments such as corrosive marine surroundings or chemical exposure

All stainless steel is versatile and lends itself to industrial use because this type of metal is nonmagnetic, easily welded, resistant to chemicals, can withstand 

extreme heat and/or cold, and does not rust easily when exposed to chemicals or moisture

POLYESTER STRAPPING

  Polyester strap  is used as a viable alternative to steel in many industries. Polyester provides excellent retained tension on rigid loads and its excellent recovery properties help a load absorb impact without strap breakage. It retains tension over a longer period of time.  it is often used on heavy duty loads that need high initial tension along with high retained tension during handling and storage. This type of poly strapping is available in both machine grade and hand grade and is easy to dispose of and recycle. But in some special occasions, it is still not a substitute for steel belts.

Advantages: Most rigid, long tension retention, high strength, nick resistant, easy to recycle

Disadvantages: Less elongation than polypropylene
