Classified as a formed wire design, Preformed Dead End Cable Grips are able to secure the soft pliable surface of a drop cable without causing attenuation. Unlike wedge type Dead-ends, the formed wire Dead-end effectively transfers the axial load on the cable at the end of the Dead-end legs to a low uniform radial compression near the dead-end loop. This transition of force is distributed over the length of the product thus allowing secure holding capability with minimized pressure on the cable or messenger.
The Preformed Dead End Cable Grips are designed for use on Transmission, Antenna, Communications, and other types of guyed structures that require the use of large guy strand.
Preformed Dead End Cable Grips are made of the same basic material as the strand to which they are applied. This pertains to galvanized, Mischmetal Alloy, Copperweld, Aluminum clad steel, stainless Type 302, and stainless Type 316. Or any of these materials can be selected from the catalog tables.
High-quality aluminum clad steel and galvanized steel which improves the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of wire clips.
The contact area of the optical fiber cable is increased so that the force distribution is uniform and the stress concentration point is not concentrated.
The wire clip is simple to install and does not require any professional tools. It can be done independently by one person. It has good installation quality and convenient for inspection.
